About This Publication

We Cover the Technologies
That Actually Change Things

Lafe Technology is an independent media brand dedicated to helping professionals navigate the rapidly evolving landscape of emerging technology — from quantum computing and AI infrastructure to cybersecurity and the future of work. We test, analyse, and curate the innovations that matter, and we are always transparent about how we make money doing it.

Substantive Coverage in an Era of Technology Noise

The technology landscape has never moved faster — and the signal-to-noise ratio has never been worse. Every week brings new announcements, new frameworks, new claims of disruption. Most of it is hype. Some of it genuinely matters. Our job is to help you tell the difference.

Lafe Technology was founded in 2020 by a team of technology journalists, engineers, and industry analysts who believed that professionals deserved better coverage than they were getting. Too many technology publications either reprinted press releases or retreated into jargon-heavy academic discourse. We set out to build something in between: rigorous, honest, and actually useful for people who have to make decisions about technology for a living.

We cover quantum computing, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, semiconductor technology, and the enterprise software that shapes how organizations operate — with a consistent focus on practical relevance over theoretical possibility.

Editorial Independence

Our editorial assessments are kept separate from our commercial relationships. Sponsored content is always clearly labeled and distinguished from independent coverage.

Evidence-Based Analysis

We cite sources, verify claims, and distinguish between what is shipping, what is in beta, and what is still a research paper. Hype gets labeled as such.

Plain Language

We write for practitioners and decision-makers, not conference audiences. We explain quantum mechanics in business terms, and cybersecurity in language that doesn't require a PhD.

Transparent Monetization

We earn revenue through sponsorships and affiliate commissions. We disclose every commercial relationship on every page where it is relevant. No hidden partnerships.

The People Behind the Publication

A distributed team of technology journalists, engineers, and strategists — united by a conviction that emerging technology deserves rigorous, honest, and accessible coverage.

Alex Reiner

Editor-in-Chief & Co-founder

Former technology correspondent at a major European daily. Alex has covered enterprise technology for over twelve years and founded Lafe Technology after recognizing a persistent gap in substantive, practitioner-focused coverage of emerging hardware and computing paradigms.

QuantumStrategyLeadership

Priya Nair

Senior Writer, AI & Infrastructure

Machine learning engineer turned journalist. Priya spent five years building production ML systems before moving into technology writing. Her coverage of AI infrastructure, model deployment, and the business realities of large language models is among our most-cited work.

AI/MLInfrastructureCloud

Marcus Webb

Staff Writer, Cybersecurity

Former penetration tester and security consultant who moved into writing to reach a broader audience. Marcus covers post-quantum cryptography, zero-trust architecture, and the evolving threat landscape with the kind of technical depth that comes from having done the work firsthand.

SecurityCryptographyRisk

Hana Osei

Research & Data Editor

Quantitative analyst background with a masters in science journalism. Hana manages our methodology for technology assessments, verifies the statistics we publish, and ensures that our data-driven claims are sourced, contextualized, and honest.

ResearchDataMethodology

Our Business Model, Explained Plainly

We operate a media business with real costs: writers, editors, research tools, hosting, and the time required to cover fast-moving fields accurately. We cover those costs through two primary channels.

Sponsored content and advertorials. Companies in the technology sector pay us to produce articles that feature their products or services. These articles are always labeled clearly at the top of the page with the word “Advertorial” or “Sponsored.” We maintain editorial standards for sponsored content: factual accuracy, balanced framing, and clear disclosure. We do not accept payment to produce content for products we consider harmful, deceptive, or misleading.

Affiliate commissions. When we recommend a product or platform and you sign up through our link, we may earn a commission from the provider. This is disclosed in the relevant articles. It does not influence which products we cover in our independent editorial content.

What We Publish and What We Won’t

We publish: Technology assessments and analysis, market reporting, explainers for complex technical topics, and clearly labeled sponsored content from companies whose products offer genuine value to our readers.
We disclose: Every affiliate relationship, every sponsored article, every commercial connection — on the page where it is relevant, in language that is easy to find and understand.
We don’t publish: Undisclosed sponsored content, misleading product claims, fabricated statistics, or advertorials for products we consider harmful, deceptive, or technically fraudulent.
We don’t guarantee: That sponsored content is unbiased. Readers should apply appropriate skepticism to all advertorial content. Results mentioned in sponsored articles may vary.
